Volks Evo Energie GmbH
Friedrichsstraße 28
34117 Kassel, Germany
Represented by: Syed Gilani
Phone: +49 (0)176 7465 3474

We have not appointed a data protection officer as there is no legal obligation to do so. For data protection enquiries, please use the email address above.

2. General Principles of Data Processing

We generally only process the personal data of our users to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Processing regularly takes place only with the user's consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) or where permitted by statutory provisions (Art. 6 (1) (b), (c), (f) GDPR).

3. Hosting and Server Log Files

Our website is hosted on servers operated by Hostinger International Ltd. (61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus). When you visit our website, the hosting provider automatically records information transmitted by your browser, in particular:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Requested URL and HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Referrer URL
  • Browser type and operating system

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and fault-free operation of the website and in the prevention of attacks. Log files are stored for a limited period (generally no more than 14 days) and then deleted, unless evidence of abuse in a specific case makes longer retention necessary for evidentiary purposes. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Hostinger pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

This website does not set tracking cookies. We only use your browser's local storage to remember your cookie preference after you have acknowledged our cookie notice. The key vee-cookie-consent stores your choice, a version number and a timestamp. This storage is based on § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, as it is strictly necessary to provide the function explicitly requested by the user.

5. Google Maps

On our contact page we embed an interactive map from Google Maps. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you open the page, your browser establishes a direct connection to Google's servers. Your IP address and information about the page visited are transmitted to Google and may be transferred to the United States. We have no influence on further data processing by Google.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in an appealing presentation of our location). For transfers to the United States, Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses. For more information, see Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Google reCAPTCHA

On our contact form we use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Ireland Limited to verify whether input is made by a human or by an automated program. The IP address and, if applicable, further data required by Google (e.g. mouse and keyboard events) are transmitted to Google and may be transferred to the United States.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in protecting the website from abusive automated use and spam. For transfers to the United States, Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses. For further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Contact Us

If you contact us by email at info@volksevo.com, the information you provide (name, email address, content of your message) will be stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (for contract-related enquiries) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry). Data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Note: an electronic contact form is not currently active. Once it is operational, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly.

8. Job Applications

If you apply by email for advertised or speculative positions, we process the data you provide (contact details, CV, qualifications, cover letter, certificates) solely for the purpose of conducting the application procedure. The legal basis is § 26 (1) BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation of an employment relationship). If no employment relationship is established, the documents are deleted at the latest six months after completion of the procedure, unless you have expressly consented to longer storage (e.g. for a candidate pool).

9. Recipients and Processors

Your data will only be passed on to third parties to the extent described in this policy. Processors (e.g. Hostinger and Google in connection with Maps and reCAPTCHA) act on the basis of appropriate contractual arrangements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Transfers to third countries only take place on the basis of an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) or your explicit consent.

10. Your Rights

As a data subject, you have the following rights under the respective statutory conditions:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

To exercise these rights, an informal notification to info@volksevo.com is sufficient.

11. Right to Lodge a Complaint

Without prejudice to any other remedies, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority for us is: The Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, https://datenschutz.hessen.de/.
